I never had this teacher, but I am glad you had such an outstanding experience. It is unfortunate that parents project their shortcomings onto the teachers who have the courage to respectfully point out the error of their ways. Those parents often pass that behavior on to their kids. Then, they wonder why their kid is having issues in school. They don't need to wonder; they need to look in the mirror. What I described is not always the case, but it happens more often than people would like to admit. It sounds like you might be dealing with that issue here, and I'm sorry.
