Allen Selis, Tech Edventures, Richardson, TX

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Allen and his STEM company, Tech Edventures, is now under a lifetime ban by the University of Texas at Dallas. The investigative article cites over a dozen claims of illegal, discriminatory, and hostile employment practices. The Texas Workforce Commission is also investigating several new claims with initial claims being resolved through mediation.

Very poor communication skills. Not good at giving feedback or helping to better students.

I do not like the way he uses Proctorio exam program to test us. I have never had to be recorded and his tests are too open ended! He doesn't even allow us to view our results once everyone has submitted the exam. His review sheet is really not a review sheet. It just has topics to know for the test and it's too broad! I hope I don't have to take one of his classes ever again! I do not recommend his class to others.

I had the pleasure of having John Wallace as my instructor at Post University for online courses in Psychology. At first I thought, “he gives a lot of work”. It was not a lot of work and by the time I got to the end of the course, I could not believe I made it through. I learned so much in 8 short weeks. Professor Wallace was going through his own turmoil, as he lived in Miami and had to evacuate during the worse hurricane season ever. In spite of his displacement, class went on as usual. I messed up on a couple of assignments as I tried to take online classes with only an iPhone! Lol! What was I thinking? In any event, Professor Wallace pushed the entire clsss to move on. He even allowed us to make up whatever assignments we missed. Constant feedback was given whether it was good or in areas needed for improvement. Thank you Professor!
