It pains me to make negative remarks because he possesses the talent and heart to raise two awesome boys and coach basketball teams of many levels. However, he cannot keep harming people. It was wrong for him to assume I suffered from sleep deprivation and chronic stress because I maintained 98%+ averages in honors and AP classes. It was wrong for him to cheer me on when I dropped advanced classes to placate him. It was wrong for him to make me feel being ambitious and meticulous were symptoms of mental illness rather than commendable personality traits. Mr. Englerth, please stop judging people and spreading lies; your rumors about my family and me did irrevocable damage to our reputations and tore us apart. And please stop mistaking hard work for "overworking yourself."

Guys, Mr. Englerth was not rated in Top Counselors in USA. That organization does not exist! Personally, I think he's awesome, but like in the Ms. Julian review, this is just misinformative. By making yourself seem uneducated or deceptive, you're actually doing a disservice to people who think he's a good counselor. Respectfully, please stop.

The man was my hs counselor, and he's a moral dude. But can't lie, I know several kids who didn't love him bc he jumped to conclusions about their abilities. He kinda assumed some really top-notch students should cut down on AP's just bc they weren't male scholar-athletes. They weren't too happy about that. No stankova sh*t here though...just a man trying his best and making mistakes.

This is an adult. I am extremely concerned this thread could encourage destructive behavior. In particular, I am addressing the individuals who asked a kid to kill herself and hope to r@pe her. You are purely evil or have grave mental illness. If the former is true, change your ways--or prepare to face prison and an irreversibly ruined reputation. If the latter is true, please seek help from a mental healthcare professional. 988 runs a national crisis line. They can refer you to whatever resources you need and/or offer insight to make you more well.

Rant warning (Has to be long bc ppl on this thread are SO LUDICROUS): No stankova sh*t here...just an average gc. The best of them are still stupid...whaddaya expect?! Counseling isn't even a real degree. The programs are so goddamn easy that even the people who are f*cked up enough to need intensive counseling end up as counselors. He's not even a f*cking therapist; he's a guidance counselor. That requires about the most sh*tty excuse for a degree you can imagine. The girl's story is low-key sad, but kid, you aren't that smart if you trust a friggin' GUIDANCE COUNSELOR with your important life decisions. Maybe they can give you some stats on college admissions from your high school...that's about all they're useful for.
