Edwin Kuhl, 266 Joule St, Alcoa, TN, 37701

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Dr. Kuhl has been my family physician for 10+ years. Until recently I had never experienced the belittling, talk down to your patients as I had often heard he could be. Not only did he refer to me as being incoherent, (which I wasn't) but he become so verbally abusive that by the time the exam was over, I left the exam room in tears. My recent for the unplanned visit was due to a fall I had experienced on a Saturday night and again on a Sunday evening. Because I had been diagnosed with thinning bones 4 years ago and subsequently prescribed medication for the condition, I have been especially careful have how I walked, slowing down my stride, and given up horse back riding. The falls I took placed great stress on my joints, hips, knees, and lower back. Long story short, the good doctor has lost a patient for good. I will never allow this person to examine me again. I will never use East Tennessee Medical Group again. The treatment I have received from this group since reaching my 62 birthday has been less than stellar. No one deserves to be treated in such a mean, hateful and cruel way, especially when said patient was in excruciating pain, could barely walk, and exhausted due to lack of sleep. I considered filing a review with the state medical board, but instead decided to post a review on this site first. I will pray in earnest that someone on the medical review board will eventually conduct a review on Dr. Kuhl's unprofessional conduct toward his patients. I know I'm not the only patient he has treated so poorly. My uncle was also a patient of his a few years ago and was subjected to the same type of verbal abuse, lack of caring from Dr. Kuhl. His bedside manner has a lot to be desired. His uncaring attitude, verbally abusive tone is unacceptable. Another incident with this doctor was the misdiagnoses on me in 2013. He kept insisting the pain in my chest, running down my left arm, and shortness of breath was heart related. First off I have no relatives who have ever had heart problems. Secondly, it took two trips to the emergency room and 7 months to get this man to refer me to a gastroenterology specialist. As it turned out my gall bladder was on the verge of shutting down. The emergency room doctor on my 2nd visit discovered the problem and thank goodness he did. Otherwise I probably would not be sitting here filing a review 6 years later. Thank you for reading the post and I hope the word gets out so that no one has to endure what I went through on Monday, November 25, 2019.

Did not believe symptoms. I have pain in my hip and knee. She yelled at me as I walked away that everything looked fine. I went to a chiropractor who took an X-ray. It turns out I have severe arthritis in my left hip. She is useless. A hateful person. Maybe she should be an embalmer.

BEWARE OF VANESSA & DR. GAUKHMAN !!!!!!! I was told by eight dentist that I had a Complicated case for a 12 unit- upper bridge " And that it was extremely important -to see no one other than a Prosthodontic Dentist" - and that is why when I saw the web page for Dr.Gaukhman- it stated that there was in fact a Prosthodontic on staff as I was led to believe,as Dr. Gaukhman stated that he was not a Prosthodontics- but did have one on staff if needed. We seemed to be having quite a few problems but the so called Prosthodontic did not intervene -and as I found out later that they never did have one, even though the web site showed one -as I showed the web site to Vanessa and told her they should correct the site as it was very misleading. The lab company owner made 7 trips each and every time that I was in the dental chair and not one time was Dr. Gaukhman present, except one time when Vanessa had an augment with the lab guy as he got tired of having to make so many unnecessary trips to the office that the mistakes Vanessa seemed to keep making, and Dr. Gaukhman walked into the room turned around and walked right back out showing no concern whatsoever,in the 10 months of my treatments not one time did he ever do any any work on me- and when I asked him why he was not even assisting Vanessa he simply stated that he has a security camera in all treatment rooms and can supervise through the cameras. In short he had Vanessa decide how to plan the entire 4 unit metal bridge units consisting of 12 teeth -as she ran the whole show making all of the decisions, ''and obviously Dr. Gaukhman Delegated Professional Responsibilities to a Non-Qualified Non Training Non Experienced nor A licensed person (named Vanessa) that failed totally two times and with two plans and with two separate Dental labs, A new attempt was done in Ziconia- in a new plan for where the teeth would be placed but that was a pathetically failed result as well, being of Vanessa's inexperience. Barry P Boden, 205500 Seneca Meadow Pkwy, Germantown, MD

Rating: 5 out of 5.

If I could give ten (10) stars to Doctor Barry Boden I would have gladly do so. I have Called several Orthopedic Doctors due to crucial pain on my neck back and right shoulder and arm to get an emergency appointment with no success I called Doctors Boben's office at 20500 Seneca Meadows Pkwy Germantown Maryland a soft spoken stuff member placed me in a brief hold and was able to get me in to see Doctor Boden. The pain was unbearable. I was taken to his office and was greeted by a wonderful nurse that took me to the ex-ray room , a warm and well mannered ex-ray technician took ex-rays and walked me to the examination room. In a few minutes Doctor Boden came in looked though my medical history in detail examined me and listen very patiently to my complains. The Doctor explained the reason of my pain and the symptoms answered every question I had. His unlimited medical experience and diagnosis stunned me. He gave me a couple of shots comfort me with his kind words and scheduled me for a follow up in a week, he asked me to call him if the pain continued , after making sure that all my questions were answered he escorted me out. His bedside manners and concern about my health condition had stunned me. I have seen a lot of Doctors in the past fifty years but I have never experienced this genuine concern and good care that I have received from this "Miracle" Doctor and his stuff. Now I am pain free and blessed with a great Doctor. I recommend Doctor Boden and his staff very highly to any one that is seeking for a great Orthopedic Doctor. I like to thank the Doctor and his staff. Alexandra Angelakis

Ray Jonathan Lara, 6340 North Campbell Ave., Tucson, AZ

Rating: 1 out of 5.

I was recently diagnosed with an ear infection on 06/23/18 by a local care provider. I sought out additional information from Sonoran ENT as a confirmation that the ear infection was reacting to anitbiotics prescribed and that nothing else was wrong with my inner--ear. I clearly stated to the staff at Sonoran ENT that I have never had an ear infection as a childe and that as an adult, I have no clue as to how an ear infection may impact my hearing, the duration of an ear infection, or what to expect from the healing process. On (06/27/18), Dr. Lara chose to remove cerumen (ear wax) he viewed with a binaural microscope using a procedure called, "micro suction." I have been dealing with tinnitus (ringing of the ears) and sensitivity to certain sounds ever since this procedure was performed. Up until the procedure, my ears were fine. At no time did Dr. Lara or the Sonoran ENT staff ever discuss the timeframe related to the healing process of an ear infection, nor did he ever discuss what to expect from an ear infection. Furthermore, he never discussed the potential harmful side effects of ear wax removal. Do yourself a favor and "Google" side effects of "micro suction." In speaking with two additional ENTs and nurses since the procedure, it has come to my attention that the advice given to me on 06/27/18 by Dr. Lara should have been to simply let the ear infection play out and then investigate other options if the antibiotics did not improve my situation. If Dr. Lara had an ounce of bed side manner or in this case any understanding of ear infections, he would have taken the time to explain the ear infection healing process and he as a professional ENT would have not chosen to remove what little ear wax may have been present. Unfortunately for me, he did not. Dr. Lara may have performed an unnecessary procedure at the cost of not only my pocket book, but my enjoyment of life. I am still a young adult. I highly recommend seeing a different ENT. I also highly recommend not letting anyone use the "micro suction" procedure on you.

Complete hip replacement - Dr. Neff is incredible! It is hard to find Surgeons performing an Anterior hip replacement but I did not want my glutemous muscles cut! Dr. Neff is well trained and efficient in the procedure, which means less trauma less blood loss, less time under anestesia! He is knowledgable and explains in detail procedure and even the metallurgy of the prosthetic device! I "bamboozled" him with questions and I verified his response! WOW! He even emailed me a plan he develops before each surgery to create a "blue-print" of implant right on my x-ray! I was on the walker for a week, cane for another week. walking a mile/day. Painlessly able to go up and down the stairs. No muscle cut so no PT is necessary! I refused epidural or any of the pain meds... just ice packs for the first couple of weeks! Ready 4 hip #2 to be replaced in time for the ski season!
