She is literally the worst. Math *** (only the subject not the teacher), but technology is another level of literal trauma. I literally got in trouble for raising my hand instead of going up to her. Like you literally said you were busy with emails, how can you see my hand? Plus, if you can see my hand, you can definitely answer my question. She can’t even stand up of her chair. We need to always go up to her. Like come on, if you have a disorder or you simply CANNOT, just tell us. You don’t have to give us depression. Worst teacher in existence. I am a 6th grader at McAuliffe and I can confirm that NO ONE likes her. Her directions never make sense, she can’t even get up, she spends half our class time making up stories, and she literally doesn't help us. She tells us “ask your peers for help!” and then proceeds to yell at us for talking. She expects us to be ready to copy notes 20 seconds into class and teaches us through slide shows. She quite literally ruins McAuliffe.

She's hard to talk with, and has terrible instructions. her instructions are unclear to read and she is unfair with grades. I spelled something wrong and she gave me an 8/10. she isn't a very good teacher, let's just say

She thinks she's nice! But yet she never explains the work properly and always goes at a fast pace! Mrs.McGarrity wants you to fail her class! And shes ugly both inside and out! I once saw her go down the stairs and she almost tripped and fell over me. And then told me to get out of the way like it was my fault! In fact there is a rumor that if she fails one more student shes fired! I'm really hoping shes fired! That one student failing is a sacrifice to saving many students lives! In fact a student got a failing grade but Ms.McGarrity put the status as passing just so she would not get fired. So there is very little hope! Hopefully one day she forgets and fails a student so no one will have to deal with her again!!!

Ok so you know the drill. This is a mature review so don't expect me to flame her (even though I hate her). I'm in 6th grade (I will not disclose my class), and she makes the teaching environment HORRIBLE. In her classroom, she expects us to put down our stuff 15 seconds after we enter the classroom. Then she asks for our notebook and most of the time planner for homework. The note copying literally takes up 2/3 of the period and she just talks about these made up "stories". In class, you get no time to work on the assigned assignments. First, she freaks you out with a terrible grade, but then you get a regrade. Still, that is horrible since you're expected to get a bad grade the first time you submit an assignment. What's going on recently in around March-April 2025 has been fishy. Students and their parents are getting confused over her grading system. She is not notifying students and guardians on Jupiter and other platforms about the assignment worth change. For example, an assignment that was worth classwork got swapped to projects. That impacted a lot of students and their grade. What Mrs.Mcgarrity is doing breaks the code of conduct for teachers in NYC Public Schools. The sudden grade change in her class needs to be announced/disclosed, not random. I hope they do something about this sketchy situation.
