Dangerous teacher who apparently delights in bullying small children. She managed to turn my nephew from a child who was so excited to start school, into a child who says he hated school...in kindergarten!!! Currently, researching her background and have found three last names for her and a complaint filed by parent for unexplained medication gone missing from HER desk drawer! Schools need to observe, observe,observe constantly, these people they haphazardly hire to damage the psyche of our precious children!!! This one won't get by with it,however!!

Ok so you know the drill. This is a mature review so don't expect me to flame her (even though I hate her). I'm in 6th grade (I will not disclose my class), and she makes the teaching environment HORRIBLE. In her classroom, she expects us to put down our stuff 15 seconds after we enter the classroom. Then she asks for our notebook and most of the time planner for homework. The note copying literally takes up 2/3 of the period and she just talks about these made up "stories". In class, you get no time to work on the assigned assignments. First, she freaks you out with a terrible grade, but then you get a regrade. Still, that is horrible since you're expected to get a bad grade the first time you submit an assignment. What's going on recently in around March-April 2025 has been fishy. Students and their parents are getting confused over her grading system. She is not notifying students and guardians on Jupiter and other platforms about the assignment worth change. For example, an assignment that was worth classwork got swapped to projects. That impacted a lot of students and their grade. What Mrs.Mcgarrity is doing breaks the code of conduct for teachers in NYC Public Schools. The sudden grade change in her class needs to be announced/disclosed, not random. I hope they do something about this sketchy situation.

It’s 2025 now, and she’s still here in this school torturing poor children. I’m surprised her chair hasn’t broke down yet. No kid deserves to be tortured by this obese fat ***, she still makes up those dumb *** stories. I can’t believe is 187 is #12 rank in Brooklyn best middle schools.

She is the rudest art teacher I’ve ever dealt with. I am in her AP Art class and she called all of my work “unoriginal” even though I never seen someone do the same thing as me. She said that she used a plagiarism check but I did not plagiarize anyone. Also, a student made a self portrait of herself and Ms. Saakian said that she blend into the background too much because of her SKEEN calor. She is very problematic and does not treat her students with respect. Please NEVER take AP art or any type of art class that Ms. Saakian teaches. Make sure to switch out immediately, she is a literal snake.

I already wrote a review on her but she made me really upset today so I’m going to write another one. Please I’m begging you NEVER take her class! She literally makes me cry because she criticizes my artwork and gives me low grades on it for no reason even though I work very hard in them and literally take days to complete them. She is a self centered and evil person and should not be an art teacher. She personally targets specific students, mainly ones who are quiet or have mental health problems. She assumes that we don’t have lives and that we’re just students and that her class is the only one in her school. I cannot emphasize this enough: please NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS TAKE HER CLASS! She will make you want to quit art please don’t rely on a teacher to teach you art, she doesn’t even teach anything you’re better off watching tutorials on youtube. If you ever see her name in your schedule, switch out of her class immediately. Thank you for reading this review, I hope this has helped you out.
