I was a cruel, misguided person. My only mentors misunderstood me. Unfortunately, I didn't recognize their skewed perspective and believed my unacceptable behavior was unjustified. Obviously, people have misunderstood Ms. Hefner, Mr. Easterling, and Mr. Englerth, but it didn't stop them from caring about the kids--even when people were spewing bold-faced lies about them on this site and in everyday conversation. They stuck with their values. They said, "I'm going to keep saying the truth and doing what I believe in. End of story." That attitude has helped me pick up the broken pieces of life. I've taken accountability for my wrongdoing and decided to change. For the first time in the last three and a half years, I'm on a path to do something I'm proud of.
See, these people are true winners. The world needs more like them.

When you see people trash on these role models, stop and think, what would they want you to do? They wouldn't want you to bully the trolls back. They would want you to politely and rationally explain the error of their ways and hope that things improve. Guys, don't be afraid to call out bs, but don't try to fight bs with more bs. The role models would disapprove.

I love them so much. People, if you see lies or harassment on this site, be like these role models. Respectfully point out the reasons that content is misinformative or otherwise harmful. As cliched as it sounds, don't try to fight fire with fire. That isn't effective often, and when it is, it's usually not worth the toil.
