For the style of restaurant/tavern, I'm giving the establishment a 4.75. After years of fine dining experience to include all manner of businesses in the hospitality industry, I'm certain My Father's Place is worth multiple visits. The chicken fried steak, crisp and flaky on the exterior / tender and juicy in the interior, and eggs, over medium perfection, with hashbrowns, golden brown, are prepared with quality ingredients by experienced professionals and, when considering the amount of guests, arrived in a timely fashion. The server was attentive and friendly without smothering the guests. I would have given a rating of 5, rather than a 4.75 (the site only allows rounded numbers), had the server arrived earlier to write the order. An answer to an age old question; Because I had a bite of egg first, the egg came first. The chicken was second.

Herman, the manager at the Auburn Hills Qdoba, across from Great Lakes Crossing, runs an excellent restaurant. It's so clean and pleasant to eat there. He's always out front, hustling and cleaning, and making his customers comfortable. The staff is efficient and the food is delicious. I appreciate walking into a food establishment that is spotless. All of the above makes for a pleasant dining experience. Way to go, Herman!

I’m not one that uses social media to bad mouth businesses or people. However I do not recommend this restaurant, WOULD YOU, after reading this letter want to dine there? You get better communication and service at a fast food establishment. Mrs. Stocco did not have the consideration to respond to this letter. Some restaurants substitute pork for veal but Ossoboco is a veal dish. With my experience and background in the restaurant business I tend to believe that the Ossoboco that was served to us was pork. We called and spoke to you about the menu. The prices on your website menu was less than was listed on the menu handed to us. We informed you about it (we notice now that you do not have prices on your online menu.) . We made reservations at a local hotel, so our main purpose in Winchester, Virginia was just to dine at Violino Restaurant to enjoy your Ossobuco. We were looking forward to a wonderful dining experience. We arrived at the restaurant a little before your opening at 5PM, we were your first guests. After reading the qualities you listed on your website like “what truly makes violin the experience that it is, is the sense of family that is deeply felt throughout the restaurant by patrons as well as the staff.” “From the moment that you walk through the door you are welcomed into the Stocco family, ….they wrap you in unsurpassed hospitality.” We never experienced the above, we were very upset when we left Violino. Having traveled extensively over the world and being one who takes pleasure in eating truly wonderful international dishes and knows true hospitality and being welcomed to one’s establishment. We were seated with very little conversation. Our Waiter came after a short time, and without any small talk or conversation proceeds listing the specials. When I asked him a question, he said, “don’t interrupt me” and just went on talking. His tone was very disruptive he was rude, impertinent and arrogant. We never saw him again after taking our order, the young lady assistant wait staff was your only shining star we experienced for whole evening, and we graciously tipped her for her kindness. We were upset after we left your establishment. You called me on our cell phone while I was driving and asked “WHY I DIDN’T TIP THE WAITER.” I was driving and did not speak about this issue. (In most states it’s illegal to talk on the phone while driving.) Our meal was ruined, by the rude, impertinence and arrogance of the Waiter, (My family and I owned a restaurant, that seated 250 people, that Waiter would never work for us.) He ruined our whole dining experience and to rate your Ossobuco, I question whether it was veal. I’m not one that uses social media to bad mouth businesses or people.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere , superb service from Tammy Barkley. Her service made the dining experience exceptional and she made us feel pampered. Ask for her to be your server; she will not disappoint.

Had a chicken combo ( crispy). Worst sandwich ever. Tiny. Old. Actual meat was 1/2inch inside crusty greasy coating. Was not cooked fresh at all. Would of went back but was on the road traveling already. Was there at 12:58 pm. So still in lunch time. Will not eat at that sonic again

Check #3211, Table 14/1 Server 199 Ashley C date 2/22/2020. Wait for table 1/2 hr(that was fine), seated & waited approx 6 mins for server to take drink order (3 adults, 3 children, 6 & 10), another 5 or 6 mins for drinks to be served, 10 mins before taking order, 40 mins before salads served & another 10 - 12 mins for entrees, Drinks not refilled & no silverware on table, had to go looking for it. When finished meal, which was hot & ok except steak was a little tough. Had to go & find manager to get the bill to pay. We did say something about the service to the manager & she did compensate part of the bill. But the server never came back to our table the manager worked with us. Unfortunately, this was our 2nd bad experience with Cheddar's recently, previously we had enjoy so wanted to give Cheddar's another chance. I do have to say that it is most likely we will not return.
