Oh 100%. The parents need to accept responsibility for their narcissistic attitudes rubbing off on their kids, and the kids need to understand that their parents may not be mentally healthy. But that's just the unhealthy ones who keep flaming the staff. There are a lot of good parents and kids too. The school's got issues, but it's not that bad tbh.

Hey, dude. You commented on my review. Thanks for giving yoru honest opinion. Really, I wasn't trying to say anything misleading, but if you felt that way, I apologize. That wasn't my intent. I was just trying to share my perspective because I got exasperated at people constantly flaming him on this site. Obviously, I think he's a great guy, and he does way more for kids than most other guidance counselors. That's all I was trying to share. If you got something else out of my review, I'm sorry, no cap. If you want to share what upset you, I want to hear it.

Great guy. Always lets kids in his office whenever he's available to talk about their needs. He has a lot of info on the environment and opportunities at specific colleges, and he's good at predicting your chances for most colleges. I wish he had a little more specific info on admissions at very selective (<10% acceptance rate) schools. That's my only complaint. He's still an amazing counselor in the most important ways though.

Good sir, I just want to take the opportunity to attempt to properly describe the impact you have had on me. Words fail though--they really do. Thank you for believing my biological mother's fables about my "mental instability." Your endorsement of her lies made it exceptionally easy for Mendon staff to believe I "wasn't all there," discredit nearly everything I expressed, and infantilize me even more than women are usually infantilized. Furthermore, you demonstrated incredible...conviction and persistence :) by incessantly defending these beliefs. Heck, you even made me question my own sanity! That's honestly impressive!!! Way to get in my head like a brain tapeworm. Mr. Englerth, thank you for making such a...difference in my life.

This man is a professional victim. SUING his children's school district because he slipped on some ice in their parking lot DURING a winter storm--that behavior takes serious cowardice. God, thank you for not letting him win. :)
