Rating: 5 out of 5.

You’re right. People do not have enough gratitude for the adults who got them where they are in life: teachers. That’s especially true for driver’s education teachers. They don’t get enough credit for doing a really scary job on the daily. Moreover, if they they do that job well, they prevent accidents that cost people their autonomy and sometimes, lives. Thanks for sharing—Mr. E sounds like an awesome guy!

Yeah, not a lot of people think of driver's ed instructors as having a hard job, but they do. Mr. E sees people do senseless stuff everyday and instead of screaming (which would be easy), he approaches things in a logical manner. He's a good role model for resiliency.

Best Advice I ever got was the bitter old man on the street corner who hated the world from his front porch. Dont Be A Stankova. Thanks to Mr E and my ridiculous strict parents I am starting OU in the fall.

I wish I could give him a 0 because he is complete trash. I had him last year and when I was in his zoom class he was wearing a stupid *** lookin headset. I puked in my mouth every time I saw him. He is old smelly and ugly. He’s always tryna be cool but he will never be. His work is complete trash and I barely learned anything from it. I have him again this year and I’m scared. H.E.L.P. ?

Jamie Cass, Freeport Maine 04222

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Mr. Cass isn’t just a great biology teacher — he’s the kind of teacher who completely changes the way you see the world. Every single day in his class feels electric. You can feel his love for science radiating from him — it’s in the way he talks about cells and ecosystems like they’re alive with magic, in the way he makes even the smallest details feel beautiful and important. His classroom isn’t just a place to learn; it’s a place to feel inspired. You walk in tired or distracted, and somehow his energy just wakes you up. He makes you laugh, he makes you think, and he makes you believe you’re capable of so much more than you realized. You can tell he pours his heart into everything he does — every lesson, every lab, every word of encouragement. What makes Mr. Cass so special is how deeply he cares. He never treats us like just students — he treats us like people, like future scientists, like we matter. He notices when we’re struggling, celebrates when we succeed, and reminds us that learning isn’t about grades, it’s about discovery. There’s so much warmth in the way he teaches that you can’t help but fall in love with biology itself. I’ve never had a teacher with so much energy, kindness, and genuine joy in what he does. Mr. Cass makes learning feel alive, and he makes every one of us feel like we belong. He’s the kind of teacher who leaves a mark on your heart forever.

Mr. Cass is an absolute powerhouse of passion, energy, and brilliance — the kind of teacher who makes every day in the classroom feel like an event you don’t want to miss. From the moment he starts speaking, the room comes alive — ideas start buzzing, laughter fills the air, and suddenly everyone is hooked. He doesn’t just teach; he performs, he inspires, he electrifies. His lessons sparkle with creativity and imagination, transforming even the most complex topics into exciting, unforgettable experiences. Students don’t just learn from Mr. Cass — they thrive, fueled by his enthusiasm and belief in their potential. He pushes, encourages, and celebrates every victory, big or small. Simply put, Mr. Cass is more than a five-star teacher — he’s a force of nature, a living burst of brilliance who turns education into pure magic.

He is a good instructor too. He actually prepares kids for the decisions they need to make, rather than giving them a brief rundown of a concept and yelling in situations where they screw up because they're not used to applying the knowledge he explained. It's always freaky to teach your kids to drive. You feel like if you don't say scream, they're going to crash your goddamn car or truck. Then, you remember that those were mistakes they made because you put them in situations before they were ready. This guy gets that and progresses them gradually but still challenges them.
