Matthew Levine, Resurgens Othopaedics, Cumming, GA
I broke my hip, and Dr Levine was the surgeon who repaired it. Although I am a "Senior" and long-time patient of Resurgens Orthopaedics at Northside Forsyth Hospital, this was the first time I met Dr Levine. He not only did an excellent job in fixing the break but, as meaningful to me, was his kind, compassionate, understanding demeanor! He's a humble and caring professional, who gives you ample time and focuses totally on you/your recovery/your questions during follow-up visits. I highly recommend Dr Levine and his expert staff/practice to anyone needing superb orthopedic surgery! P.S. My 9 rating is the highest single digit the space would accept!!

Stay away from Pain Treatment Centers of America and Dr. Sameer. He almost killed me with a narcotic patch called buprenorphine. Those things will overdose you if you get too warm. I read the package insert and understood what could cause that. But no one in that office mentioned that walking across my yard at 7:30 in the morning would overheat that patch. I no kidding almost died. And the nurse I talked to about it on the phone chewed me out and was rude and wanted it to be all my fault. Blood pressure 83/49 when I got help. I was with PTCoA for 4 years. In that time I had 3 different doctors--not because I chose a different doc (they don't alow you to do that).but because apparently Dr.s come and go at this place....kind of like the way clerks get rotated thru the convenience store. I went thru sudden narcotic withdrawal twice because one of them neglected to authorize my refills. Took 9 days for her to get around to it the first time. The clinic is more interested in selling you the latest product or procedure than doing what is best for you. Over my time w them there were so many mistakes and misdiagnoses. I had to ask myself "why am I putting up with this?" The answer is ...because they give me *** ....yep...that's why. So now I am being treated for opiate addiction and trying to find someone who can at least be responsible with medications. And they hurt me.....Dr Sameer doesn't believe in giving IV sedation for injections....said "it takes too long to take effect and the shots will be over before then." B.S.....Iv sedation is almost immediately effective...what take too long is placing the IV and such....it can save him 10 minutes per patient if he doesn't bother so then he can run an additional 10 patients per week thru the clinic....$$$$$$$. It's all about the $$$$$$. You don't matter. He hurt me. He misdiagnosed my issues. He almost killed me. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away...oh yeah...did I mention STAY AWAY

Blatant Disregard Nov 6, 2018 I have never in all my 37 1/2 years of constant pain have I ever been treated so poorly with such cold blatant disregard. He said he would help he had no intention of helping. Far more interested in getting me there for 3 appointments and collect his fees he prescribed the incorrect amount of medication that I have been taking this is a reduced dose that is matter of record and can be verified. Dr Tapia is self center I think the term is self verified. He was far more interested in implanting a pain device, at a high fee I would guess. Upon learning that I have hypersensitive nerve endings I could not use his device he did not prescribe the remaining amount in a partial script as promised. He made me wait 5 days dodging my calls leaving me on hold for 39 minutes disconnected the call, I called back a 15 minute return call was I promised they would return my call after talking to the doctor they never returned the call. I asked if he was not going to prescribe as promised please tell me now, 2 calls later the office finally admitted he was not going to prescribe as promised on Oct 24, now on Nov 6th after 5 days of calling and waiting they could have told me sooner I could have seen another doctor in that time and not run out of medication. I did get appointment in 3 days with a new doctor but I'm out of medication upset in more pain from this experience. 9 back surgeries both hips replaced, my knee was damaged with hip replacement, shoulder pain and more. This man could care less how much pain I am in, He never examined me didn't even look. The office twisted my words as if this was my fault that I didn't understand I'm not foolish. I had a general doctor that was put out of business by a large hospital after 35 yrs. of work. I take a few xanax pills that my general doctor would prescribe for me since I was having panic attacks for 28 yrs(I am 66 and a good athlete). I have had some heart surgeries and a heart attack at 40 but my last surgery was preventative 6 yrs ago and I am in better shape than most people. I used to teach tennis 40 yrs ago and I still play for 2 hours at a time. I had to find a new doctor and at the present doctors are not allowed to prescribe controlled substances.This doctor I saw for the first time 4 days ago and was supposed to prescribe me 2 weeks of Buspar to take along with my .5 mg xanax pills that he didn't give a prescription for and said he would after 2 weeks. He gave me a sample of Rexulti to take for 2 weeks along with my xanax pills(whose prescription expired July 2nd but he noticed I still had enough for about 2 weeks. To this day he has not sent a prescription to Walmart for Buspar and I called his office to find out what is going on. I called them yesterday too. I think he might be irresponsible and I don't trust him right now. I will try to find a new doctor who said I had to see a psychiatrist to get a prescription for those xanax pills. I never did before and I don't take them to get high. I take a half pill in the morning, 1.5 pills before I do 2 hours of exercise and the rest by 2am. The medical world is disgusting. My wife, 69 yrs old, came down with lung cancer 2 yrs ago when we moved into her mother's home to take care of her. Now my mother-in law came down 9 months ago(she's 94) with alzheimers and broke her hip on 12/31/2018 and can't see or hear. I hide down in the basement in this 120 yr old mancave with my own TV, computer, printer and phone. Life is great. I am 66 and have medicare and Aetna. Hardly any money(used to have money to buy a house for cash 12 yrs ago when I moved to NJ but I rented instead). I have nothing coming in wills and I guess I better stay in shape so I can work part time and get social security. I don't feel like working anymore , so I take each day at a time.

Had an appointment yesterday March 22, 2021. I have a rare lung disease and I'm waiting on a double lung transplant. I have a portable oxygen machine which I don't care what anybody says on the commercials there for *** the batteries run out in like an hour. So explain to the girl who told me they were a little behind and it would be like an hour an hour and a half wait. I started to panic because if I ran out of air I was totally screwed. I did have to wait but maybe 20 minutes, the office staff and Dr. Parisi were so accommodating to me words can't express my appreciation. I will always go to Santa Maria Center for all my eye care needs
