Paid 8 grand for eyelid surgery. Did not work. Worse. Deformed. First they said it might take a couple months, then 3 months, now a year! Swollen like this for a year! I may file a malpractice suit. Dr Cepela expressed no concern and offered no fixes. He said he doesn't need to see me anymore. Don't believe the fake positive reviews.

Dr. Cepela is a most professional and excellent physician. The elderly gentleman for whom I care and I have both had eyelid surgery by Dr. Cepela, and we are both extremely happy with his work. I will return if the need arises for any other surgery, as I am completely at ease with him. His office staff and assistants are great as well. I truly highly, highly recommend Dr. Cepella.

Dr. Steven Bailey is a wonderful neurosurgeon whose skill my husband and I are very grateful for. My husband has suffered for years with degenerative disk disease which had gotten progressively worse over the years. In the past few years the pain grew to be unbearable. Before a cervical surgery this past March, his neck hurt immensely and the pain ran into his head causing horrible headaches which kept him from sleeping. At the same time the lower back was getting worse too. Dr. Bailey did the cervical surgery in March and the relief he experienced was miraculous. Dr. Bailey said after he completely healed from it, we would address the lower back. He just had lumbar surgery in October. Before this surgery for the stenosis, my husband suffered so much and actually couldn't walk at times. Again Dr. Bailey performed surgery which alleviated his pain and he feels better than he has in years. We are so grateful to Dr. Bailey for giving him back his life.

Has an ego problem and does not understand patient bill of rights. Talks to patients with an authoritarian attitude. Does not allow patient Q&A. Said disparaging remarks to patient and patients family.

At Dominic, Mark Valverde, MD, Jackson, MS
Mark Valverde, former Psychiatrist at St Domic hospital in Jackson, MS will not 1. Look his patients in the eyes or call them by name, even when the patient asks that he do so. When the patient was in the inpatient area of the hospital, the nurses were unable to reach Dr Valverde by phone or beepers when he was needed for emergencies. The staff appeared to be scared of him. He would not reply when a patient was in distress. Dr Valverde is a psychiatrist. Psychiatrists are supposed to look at their patients in the eye and offer understanding. He was unable to connect with his patients. It was a shame he was chosen to work with the most vulnerable of patients. I left with the lowest opinion of his communication skills, his lack of compassion and he had an air of being better than others. His choice to not respond to calls from staff calls was malpractice. Dr Valverde would not look the patients in the eyes. It may behoove him to work in a lab or do research. Psychiatry must encompass compassion. Dr Valverde had no compassion.
