Dr. Andrew L. Merritt, M.D. is an Amazing doctor. He takes pride in being a surgeon. My husband Ron broke his leg really bad, after the surgery Dr. Merritt met with my husband and he answered all his concerns. We thank God for Dr. Merritt. He is very Professional yet personable. Blatant Disregard Nov 6, 2018 I have never in all my 37 1/2 years of constant pain have I ever been treated so poorly with such cold blatant disregard. He said he would help he had no intention of helping. Far more interested in getting me there for 3 appointments and collect his fees he prescribed the incorrect amount of medication that I have been taking this is a reduced dose that is matter of record and can be verified. Dr Tapia is self center I think the term is self verified. He was far more interested in implanting a pain device, at a high fee I would guess. Upon learning that I have hypersensitive nerve endings I could not use his device he did not prescribe the remaining amount in a partial script as promised. He made me wait 5 days dodging my calls leaving me on hold for 39 minutes disconnected the call, I called back a 15 minute return call was I promised they would return my call after talking to the doctor they never returned the call. I asked if he was not going to prescribe as promised please tell me now, 2 calls later the office finally admitted he was not going to prescribe as promised on Oct 24, now on Nov 6th after 5 days of calling and waiting they could have told me sooner I could have seen another doctor in that time and not run out of medication. I did get appointment in 3 days with a new doctor but I'm out of medication upset in more pain from this experience. 9 back surgeries both hips replaced, my knee was damaged with hip replacement, shoulder pain and more. This man could care less how much pain I am in, He never examined me didn't even look. The office twisted my words as if this was my fault that I didn't understand I'm not foolish. This doctor being a part of a rehab clinic has massive control issues doesn't listen and makes judgmental comments. There's a quote under his picture on the website saying that he enjoys helping his patients and in reality he just enjoys bossing them around judging them and wreaking havoc over their medications and whether or not they can obtain them. I'm done fighting this heartless quack!!!

Very poor patient care and concern. Very disinterested in the patient's history, other conditions, and simply wants to get in and out quickly. He does not listen effectively. This has occurred over several appointments. I do NOT recommend Dr. Applebaum, or any of the doctors at Overlake Family Medicine in Bellevue.

They seem to have extreme difficulty managing time and they seem very insensitive and callous. I am an established patient and my wait time are hours. Just this past December at waited appox. 2.5 hours and when the nurse finally came in the patient room in the back she said the wait could still be an hour or more and I'm an established patient. I told the staff I couldn't wait any longer I was in too much pain, headaches and especially, having had several recent surgeries. So, I had to leave. Now, turned around an immediately billed be for a "No Show" of $50 dollars. I spoke with the billing department see real times and explined tge situation but the collection activities persist. What reasonable, caring, fair-minded physician's office would persist in such persecution after putting me through what they did. Just aweful!

I was very comfortable with him from our first meeting. he explained the procedure with my wife and I and prayed for a successful recovery.
