Benjamin G Thomassen, 1053 Medical Center Drive suite 101, Orange City, FL, 32763

Rating: 2 out of 5.

I felt like I was being milked. Multiple appointments that resulted in little more than being seen for less than 10min and multiple cast! Negative attitude of the physician. He acted as if I had something contagious that he could catch. The bill is outrageous and every time I asked how much office visits were everyone said oh we don't know that!

Thanh T. Le, St. Petersburg, FL

Rating: 2 out of 5.

This doctor speciality is pain management. My primary care doctor no longer writes scripts for pain medicine, due to gov. Regulations. I was referred to Dr. Thanh at the Pain Relief Center, here in St. Petersburg Florida. Dr. Le, suggested a treatment for my chronic back pain. I postpone treatment until the first of the year, due to my work. Dr. Le assured me there would be "no problem" re filling my pain medication. The first time I needed a refill, within ten days after the pharmacy notified his office, the medication had not been refilled. The pharmacy called twice. I called the office four times in ten days, trying to find out why the script had not been filled. All I got were recorded messages and i requested to have my call return. The calls were never returned. I have had 8 days without pain medication. I have had to use over the counter meds. I will be contacting Medicare and my insurance company. Looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Alejandro G. Tapia, 10301 hagen ranch road, boynton beach, FL

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Blatant Disregard Nov 6, 2018 I have never in all my 37 1/2 years of constant pain have I ever been treated so poorly with such cold blatant disregard. He said he would help he had no intention of helping. Far more interested in getting me there for 3 appointments and collect his fees he prescribed the incorrect amount of medication that I have been taking this is a reduced dose that is matter of record and can be verified. Dr Tapia is self center I think the term is self verified. He was far more interested in implanting a pain device, at a high fee I would guess. Upon learning that I have hypersensitive nerve endings I could not use his device he did not prescribe the remaining amount in a partial script as promised. He made me wait 5 days dodging my calls leaving me on hold for 39 minutes disconnected the call, I called back a 15 minute return call was I promised they would return my call after talking to the doctor they never returned the call. I asked if he was not going to prescribe as promised please tell me now, 2 calls later the office finally admitted he was not going to prescribe as promised on Oct 24, now on Nov 6th after 5 days of calling and waiting they could have told me sooner I could have seen another doctor in that time and not run out of medication. I did get appointment in 3 days with a new doctor but I'm out of medication upset in more pain from this experience. 9 back surgeries both hips replaced, my knee was damaged with hip replacement, shoulder pain and more. This man could care less how much pain I am in, He never examined me didn't even look. The office twisted my words as if this was my fault that I didn't understand I'm not foolish. Marc greenstein, 400 Hiatus Rd, Pembroke Pines, FL

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I have been a patient of Dr. Greenstein since the early 1990's. I have ALWAYS found him to be a very caring physician. He has continued to exhibit an extremely professional manner through the years, while maintaining a sincere and genuine interest in my health as well as my family's health and well being. He has on numerous occasions CORRECTLY diagnosed various health concerns and proceeded with appropriate advice or treatment. Further more, EVERGREEN MEDICAL CENTER Staff (especially Lori) is professional, friendly and courteous who show their concern for the patient's health. I never feel rushed or insignificant when calling or visiting this office. I do not EVER hesitate to recommend Dr. Greenstein to anyone in need of a medical recommendation.

Florida Hand Center, Dr. Stephen L. Helgemo, Jr, Fort Myers, FL

Rating: 1 out of 5.

I was sent to Dr Helgemo for a workers comp. injury. He has no people skills. After doing surgery he snapped "That's impossible" when I tried to tell him the finger wouldn't bend. He ignored 2 Physical Therapist recommendations that I needed a silver ring splint. He refused my begging for a silver ring splint, stating it was an unnecessary expense for the insurance. After a year of suffering with the finger not bending, and after writing my attorney complaining about Dr. Helgemo I was ordered to return to him. He had obviously heard of my complaints. He actually listened and examined hand. He 'suddenly' found that a slight pressure at the base of the finger would allow me to consistently bend it. He recommended I buy myself a regular ring and wear it. After a year of suffering I now have partial use of the finger. I strongly recommend against ever using this doctor. [

Dr. Charles V. Toman, 7301A West Palmetto Park Road, Ste. 100B, Boca Raton, FL

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Dr. Toman is an orthopedic surgeon who cares about his patients. The first surgery that he performed on me was a 2nd revision of one of my hips that another surgeon said was not possible. Dr. Toman had an MRI done and agreed to perform the surgery knowing that I had torn tendons as well as the need for a lining replacement of the socket joint. He took care of both problems as well as finding that I had fractured one of the large bones as well. I am now able to walk almost painless and without a limp. 5 months later it was found that due to my osteoarthritis I needed a shoulder replacement as well as repair of my rotator cuff and two tendons which were torn as well. I went back to Dr. Toman and he repaired this as well. I am able to use my arm, better than anyone thought after only 3 months. He is very talented, caring and professional and a miracle worker. His staff from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the PA and technicians make one feel at ease and very special.
