I believe Mr. Martinez retired last year. He was the greatest influence on me because the way he taught the class was fun, creative and challenging compared to most teachers, but doable. He is the best teacher I have ever had. It is too bad of not having someone like him at the Bellevue School District.

I would agree. The grading actually unfairly lowers most kids' scores, but if the kid takes a stance she appreciates or she just likes them, she raises their grade. It really is pretty biased--but honestly, I think Mrs. Ark is way worse! Other than that, her lecturing style really is just [chef's kiss], and her discussion prompts are truly intriguing and creative.
