Dr Gibbons, Dargaville medical centre, Northland

Rating: 1 out of 5.

An old doctor that needs to retire as he is as useless as a two bob watch! In fact if you need medical services don’t live in dargaville or Northland substandard doctors and nurses!

chris kenedi, auckland Hospital, auckland

Rating: 1 out of 5.

This guy assessed me for insurance purposes and basically told me and the insurance company that the symptoms I had were manifested from childhood trauma and in my head. Because of COVID months later I had several procedures at the hospital, which found I had a life threatening condition, which required major surgery. I knew that what I was suffering was not normal and I tried to explain it to him. But he left me crying throughout the whole assessment. I have recently had major surgery and am truly grateful to the REAL doctors who took me seriously. My surgeon said that this man is not competent enough in this field of surgery. I was so upset that I was not being taking seriously and I’m glad I took it further, which could have been fatal. This man is a vile human being, who should not be practising. One in a million adults were diagnosed with my condition, this is how rare it was. Please do not take this guy seriously. My cat could do a much better assessment than this guy. Just because he is an expert in factitious disorders, it doesn’t mean every body makes things up. Maybe he doesn’t have a medical doctorate and it’s a figment of his imagination.I would have rated him a negative 5, but I have to give at least a 1.

Regina Cabuang, Westview Medical Centre, Glen Eden, Auckland, West Auckland

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Showed absolutely no empathy, and is not qualified at all with CPTSD and retraumatised me with her cold and cruel exchanges behind closed doors. I will never go back as I have made complaints with management before and nothing is remembered the next time I visit and the same thing happens, I am not listened to, looked at like I am dirt and made to feel like I am a burden to society, while this woman is in charge of my life with a flick of a pen( I need her consent on paper to say I am not ready to work yet)I am making real progress with weekly therapy sessions, and am not ready for paid employment yet. Dr Regina told me in her office that sometimes you have to push yourself to work and she put on paper that I can work in 3 months...dangerous trigger to a person like me. Long story short, I had a relapse of my symptoms temporarily, and disassociated, which set my progress back. I am currently in process of looking for a Dr with a good understanding of severe childhood traumas and when I am in a better place, I will be taking legal action against Dr Cabuang personally for damages and not through the NZ medical Board as they do Jack #hit. As Dr Cabuang emigrated here in New Zealand in 2008 from Manila, Phillipines, I can probably assume that her culture may also have not have taught western types of trauma patterns. Anyway, I hope I help someone who reads this from pain, and avoid this Dr at all costs if you need a caring, kind Doctor.

Matt White, Carlyle Medical

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Visited 5x over 5 months with pain in neck. Kept telling me it was a pulled muscle. My physio was worried & said I needed an MRI. Dr wouldn’t listen. A year later after going private neurologist diagnosed me with tumour on spinal cord. Also wouldn’t refer me with hiatal hernia pressing on my heart. Said I would never get in. I went privately and am to have surgery urgently as surgeon said the hernia was so bad it could stop the blood flow in the heart. GP refused to apologise & I have changed doctors.

Sami Raunio, Hamilon, Waikato

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Neurosurgeon Dr Raunio: I was referred to Sami Raunio for spinal surgery. Sami and his support person, Sandra were highly professional at all times. Sami’s quite confidence, broad smile, empathy and thorough approach was always reassuring in my most frightening moments. He carefully showed me what was happening at each stage. He listened to my concerns and addressed them thoroughly. When I emailed or phoned about an issue Sandra contacted him in a timely manner and his response was expedient and thorough. He was quick to order additional imaging immediately to avert any further possible concerns. The operation itself took over four hours using keyhole surgery. The incision was minimal and was barely noticeable after a few weeks. My recovery was much faster than expected. Prior to my surgery I was in a wheelchair with excruciating pain when I moved. Six weeks later I am virtually pain free and can walk about 1km. I would highly recommend Sami Raunio.

DANIELA REYES, 58 Akoranga Drive, Northcote, North shore

Rating: 1 out of 5.

I am disgusted This doctor gave me the wrong medication. The doctor I seen a week before her told me that I only needed cream for my foot .Dr Rey's insisted that I take this medication for 42 days . Deolate Terbinafine 250 mg .I have had very bad rashes all over my body and scalp and infected ears and very itchy skin ...Since the 12 July .She refused to give me the foot cream .The pharmacist and his Co worker said a week and a half ago that I should never had taken that medication .They said that I had a very very bad allergic reaction to this . Dr Reys was aware that I just dyed my hair I told her this .And she said that it was alright to take alcohol with this medication . After the first night I had a few beers .The next day my faeces (poos ) was white . I was horrified and I googled this medication and it said not to take alcohol with and this may cause a reaction to chemicals such as hair dyes and it did . I called the nurse's with my concerns regarding this .And I received no call back from Dr Reyes or her nurses what to do next .I only drank beer that first night . after 14 days of taking this medication my skin and and itching and ears only got worse .so I decided myself to stop taking this medication .I still have rashes on my body and my skin is still very itchy ! I am disgusted in this service . Imagine the state I would have been in if I continue d the 42 day course . I will be making further complaints to HDC and I will be contacting Auckland Council for further advise . This should never have happened . I should never have been put through this !

He thinks he’s loved by all the students. Someone needs to give him a smack into reality because he’s 90% of students least favourite teacher. He doesn’t know how to do pe even though he is a pe teacher and I fear for his family.
