David Polland, Computing, Craigmount High School
Mr. Polland is an exceptional teacher whose unique approach to education truly shaped my career path and helped me become a software developer. His classes were always something to look forward to, largely because he brought an infectious sense of humor into the classroom that kept everyone engaged and eager to learn. What truly set him apart was his remarkable ability to teach complex programming concepts and break them down into simple, easy-to-understand explanations. He had a natural gift for turning intimidating topics into accessible lessons, ensuring that no student was left behind. I am incredibly grateful for his guidance, patience, and brilliant teaching style, which laid the foundation for my professional success.

Andrew Digance, Craigmount High School
Mr. Digance was truly the spark that ignited my passion for engineering, and his absence leaves a profound void in my journey. He was far more than an educator; he was a mentor who saw my potential before I even recognized it myself, patiently guiding me through complex concepts and encouraging me to look at the world through a lens of curiosity and problem-solving. His unwavering support and belief in my abilities gave me the confidence to pursue this challenging field, transforming abstract classroom lessons into a lifelong career. I deeply miss his wisdom, his encouragement, and the inspiring presence he brought to every challenge, and I am forever grateful for the profound impact he made on the engineer I am today.
